Terms of Use
Astra · last updated 13 October 2026
By using Astra you agree to these terms. They are meant to be readable, and the important one is the first.
What this app is, and what it is not
Astra computes a Vedic birth chart from astronomical data and interprets it using classical rules. The astronomy is precise. The interpretation is a tradition, not a science, and nothing in this app is a prediction of what will happen to you.
Readings are for reflection and cultural interest. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or professional advice of any kind. Do not make a decision about your health, your money, your career, your relationships or anyone else's on the strength of a reading. If you need advice, ask someone qualified to give it.
Astra is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. Health-themed readings are for reflection only. Consult a qualified healthcare professional about a health concern and before making a health decision.
The app will not answer questions about when someone will die, and will not give medical or legal instructions. This is deliberate.
Accuracy
Chart calculations depend entirely on the birth date, time and place you enter. A birth time wrong by a few minutes moves the ascendant and changes much of the chart. We cannot verify what you enter, and we are not responsible for a reading built on incorrect details.
Astrologers differ on method — ayanamsa, house system, dasha variants. Ours are stated in the app. Another astrologer or another app may legitimately reach a different answer from the same birth.
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play, not by us. The price shown at purchase is the price charged.
- They renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in Play Store → Subscriptions; you keep what you paid for until the period ends.
- Refunds are handled by Google under Play's refund policy. We cannot issue one directly.
- Free allowances are limited by account and recognized device usage on the schedule shown in the app. The two introductory Ask questions are a one-time allowance.
- If a payment fails or a subscription is revoked, paid features stop.
Acceptable use
- Personal, non-commercial use. Do not resell readings generated by the app as your own service.
- Do not attempt to bypass the allowances, tamper with purchase verification, or automate requests against the API.
- Do not use the app to harass, deceive or make claims about another person.
Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. Charts already saved on your phone continue to work offline. If we discontinue a paid feature while you are subscribed, cancel through Play and Google's refund policy applies.
Liability
The app is provided as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or from any decision taken in reliance on a reading. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
